- Our top priority is the safety of our products, whether during trials in the discovery and development phases of any new drug, or usage of our therapeutics after commercial launches
- Usage of functioning bioengineered mini-Organs helps us significantly reduce risks for patients even during our development phases. This can be achieved by a more accurate assessment of the new drug’s toxicity, efficacy, and dosage in the human mini-Organs. Considering the National Institutes of Health (NIH) of the United States reports that 95 out of every 100 drugs that pass animal tests fail in humans, our advancement in human mini-Organs directly addresses drug toxicity or lack of efficacy in humans that goes undetected in animal testings
- Medera’s approach can mitigate life-threatening risks for patients. This is also an ethical approach in discovering and developing new drugs with reduced animal testing
- To address differential drug response in different ethnic groups, we bioengineer mini-Organs with a range of genetic backgrounds to tailor existing drugs or design new drugs to target each ethnic group for high therapeutic efficacy
